Askiafield allows you to run CAPI surveys on a variety of interviewing devices:
on iPhones and/or iPads, using AskiaFace for iOS;
on Android tablets, using AskiaFace for Android;
on laptops and tablet PCs running standard Microsoft Windows, using AskiaFace;
AskiaFace can also be run in kiosque mode on the iOS and Android platforms, allowing respondents to complete self-administered surveys. For details, please see using Kiosque Mode for self-administered surveys.
CAPI interviewing is managed in the same way regardless of the type of device you use. This gives you a great deal of flexibility, and means you do not need to be concerned with wireless technological changes. The only requirement is that you establish a connection that utilises TCP/IP. This connection can be either "always on" or established only when the agent wishes to transfer data back to CCA.
CCA acts as a data collection centre. There are three things that need to be set up in order to run a CAPI survey:
automatically importing completed interviews into the questionnaire;

If you have modified the contents of a task, you have to reload it in order to apply these changes in CCA. Proceed as follows.
To reload a task:
Right-click a task in the tasks window.
Select reload.
To start a sample list, use the following procedure.
To start a sample list:
In the sample lists window, right-click.
In the context menu, select start.
