Use this restrictions window to define restriction patterns which can then be applied to agents, granting them access to certain functions, including the global management features, of CCA. The restrictions window displays all existing restriction patterns created by the CCA administrator.
To open the restrictions window, click restrictions in the view tab of the ribbon.

The fields (columns) are as follows (note that you can right-click in the column headings to specify which fields are visible):
ID: The unique ID number of the restriction pattern.
Name: The name of the restriction pattern.
Internal: Indicates whether the restriction pattern allows users to make internal calls.
External: Indicates whether the restriction pattern allows users to make external calls.
Supervisor: Indicates whether the restriction pattern grants its users Supervisor authority. Applying this restriction pattern to an agent gives him/her the power to use the Supervisor module. We refer to such an agent as a supervisor.
You can sort the list according to the contents of any column (e.g. name), simply by clicking the relevant column header; to reverse the sort order, click the column header again.
The Supervisor module enables agents to access global management features of CCA. Its functions and user interface are identical to those of CCA.
A person who has permission to start up a Supervisor module will be able to perform all the actions the CCA administrator is capable of, as long as he/she has been granted the authorities by the CCA administrator. It is these restriction patterns which determine the extent and power which a Supervisor will be able to yield.
The restrictions tab of the ribbon (available when the restrictions window is active), contains the following commands:
| Icon | Name | Function |
|---|---|---|

Run Report |
Run one of CCA's Crystal Report statistics. In the sub-menu, select the specific report you wish to run for this restriction pattern. Depending on the report type, you may be prompted to specify information, such as a date or group name. When the report has finished running, it appears in the Crystal Reports viewer. |
The context (right-click) menu contains the following commands:
Delete: Delete the selected restriction pattern.
Set as default: Set the selected restriction pattern as the default (i.e. any new restriction pattern will base its properties on this pattern).
Properties: View or edit the selected restriction pattern properties.
Further details concerning Supervisor authority:
A supervisor will only get to see items on which he/she has supervisor authority.
Only the agents on which he/she has been granted Supervisor authority (edit and/or view) will be listed in the Supervisor module's Agents window.
The information of system windows for which he/she only has the View authority will be displayed in the Supervisor module in light grey, indicating amendments are not authorized.
When editing an event/property, which is linked or based on another basic event/property over which he/she does not have Supervisor authority, the following message will be displayed: Not allowed. For example, if a Supervisor does not have the authority to edit Routes, when attempting to edit an agent's Coverage route property, the following system message will be displayed: Not allowed.
