Quota ribbon commands

Note: The new quotas window, described in this topic, is available from CCA/Supervisor version 5.4.2.

The quota tab of the ribbon (available when the quota window is active), contains the following commands:

ICON NAME FUNCTION
Add question Adds a new quota line as a sub-question to the selected line. If another question is selected, the new question will be placed under all the answers belonging to the selected question.
Add range

Allows you to add numeric ranges for a numeric question (e.g. an age question for which you might want to add age ranges).

Ranges are expressed and displayed with the lower bound included in the range, and the maximum bound not included. This means that the range 34-45 includes numbers from 34 to 44.

You can subsequently edit a range you have created by using the edit range command.

Edit range Allows you to change the selected range. See add range above for details.
Add group

Adds the selected answers to a new group. The group name can be changed.

Note that this is not currently possible for multi-coded questions.

Delete

Deletes the selected item (question, range or group).

Allocate all Evenly distributes the target value over the selected line or lines.
Allocate remaining Evenly distributes the remaining target value over the selected line or lines.
Web brokers Available on the web tab only. Allows you to add agents (connected to a broker account) to the quota in order to view quota broken down by broker (sample provider).
Counts to percentages Sets the selected target to be controlled by the percentage value. If the main quota minimum value is changed, the percentage will stay the same and the count will be scaled according to the percentage.
Percentages to counts Sets the selected target to be controlled by the count value. If the main quota minimum value is changed, the count will stay the same and the percentage will be scaled according to the count.
Settings

Reveals options that change the quota behaviour for the current survey task only. They are global (they apply to all users, not just the supervisor who sets them). The options are as follows:

  • When checking the quota during an interview, use the quota values:
    • as they are at the moment: quotas are updated live, during interviews (this is the default setting)
    • from the beginning of the session: a snapshot of the quota values taken at the beginning on an interview session (when the contact was called) will be used, even though there may have been changes to the quota values in the mean-time; changing the quota tree resets these values.
    • from the start of the interview: a snapshot of the quota values taken at the beginning of the interview (when the interview was opened when the contact was called), will be used, even though there may have been changes to the quota values in the mean-time; changing the quota tree resets these values.
  • Include running interviews when evaluating the target: If selected, answers of any in-progress interviews will be included in live quotas. This gives a better visual idea of the number of interviews left to be done. By default, this option is not selected.
  • Use single target: If selected, a single target or min/max target will be used. By default, this option is not selected.

Note: going to a single target from a min/max target might cause a warning to be displayed ("Minimum and maximum targets do not match. Changing to a single target is not allowed."). This means that there is a difference between the min and max target values; be sure to check that the values are the same and the controlling value (the bold value) is also the same for each column.
  • Allow CATI agents to view quota: If selected, any CATI agents assigned to the task will be allowed to see the quota tree in the CATI window during an interview (in the call information window). By default, this option is not selected.
list-monitor Lists monitor Allows you to monitor the state of all sample lists associated with the survey task.
appointments Appointments Allows you to view appointments for the survey task.
contact-list-find-edit Find/edit contacts

When you select this command, the find/edit contacts window appears. This allows you to search the sample list associated with the task for numbers

  • that are still available to be called or
  • those that are no longer available to be called (due to the outcome of previous calls).

This means you can easily locate a particular number in the sample list. You can then either change the number's priority level, have a specific agent call the number immediately, or recover the number (recovering the number means that you can add a number that has been abandoned – due to the outcome of a previous call – back into the pool of numbers that can be contacted).

calls-find(1) Find calls Allows you to locate a particular call associated with the survey task, and view its properties. When you select this command, the find calls window appears.
Modify interview

Starts Fast Entry mode, allowing you to edit interview data for the survey task. For details, please refer to the askiadesign Assistant.

In Fast Entry mode, if the interview has been flagged as completed, you can clear this status, and therefore ensure it is not counted towards quotas by clearing the completed check-box.

Note: If the data for any questions has been anonymised, then any data in these questions will not be displayed.
Note: this command is available only in the Supervisor module.
data-visualize-16 Visualize data

This feature allows you to examine the data in a selection of questions in the selected survey task. A new window opens; in the left-hand list, you are presented with all the available questions in the selected survey task. Move the questions whose data you want to examine into the right-hand list by selecting them and clicking the right-pointing arrow. If you change your mind about a question, you can remove it from the right-hand list by selecting it and clicking the left-pointing arrow.

When you click OK, a list of all respondents is displayed, with each respondent on a separate row, and each question presented in a separate column. Columns for respondent ID and Seed are always displayed.

properties Properties

View or edit the properties of the task to which this quota applies.

skills-small(1) Skills

Allows you to associate specific skill requirements so as to automatically filter qualified agents assigned to the selected survey task.

Language Allows you to view and define quotas in any language present in the survey. By default, quotas are displayed in the survey's default language, as defined in AskiaDesign.
Customize

Contains the following options, which determine which sample contacts are included in the figures in the available column. Note that these options are not global; they apply only to the supervisor who set them.

  • Contacts available for web: if selected, the number of contacts available for web interviewing will be included in the available columns. By default, this is selected.
  • Contacts available for telephony: if selected, the number of contacts available for telephony will be included in the available columns. By default, this is selected.
Expand all Expands (displays) all of the sub-items under the selected item.
Collapse all Collapses (hides) all of the sub-items under the selected item.
Focus Focuses the view on the selected line. All questions and groups are collapsed.
