Starting CATI work

To start CATI work on a survey:

  1. Add a task to the CCA and define its properties; alternatively, reload the task if it has been modified (see below).
  2. If the task is a survey, you may create quotas if you wish.
  3. If the task is a survey, you may also define call result codes if you wish.
  4. Assign the task to a sample list. See also: creating sample lists.
  5. Assign the task to an outbound group.
  6. Start the sample list (see below). The system will begin the outbound duty as soon as there are agents available. See also: duty swapping.
Note: The system will stop making outbound calls when the target sample size is reached.

Reloading a task to apply changes made to it

If you have modified the contents of a task, you have to reload it in order to apply these changes in CCA.

To reload a task:

  1. Right-click a task in the tasks window.

  2. Select reload.

Starting (activating) a sample list

A sample list associate with a task is not used by AskiaField until you start the list (i.e. until you make the list active).

To start a sample list:

  1. In the sample lists window, right-click.

  2. In the context menu, select start.

You can also start a list without recording data e.g. when briefing agents about a new list, testing a project, or doing agent training.

To start a list without recording data:

  1. In the tasks window, right-click the task and select properties.

  2. In the dialing tab, select brief mode.

  3. In the sample lists window, right-click the list, and select start.

After the briefing you can stop the list, change the task setting, and start it "for real".
