In the quota window, each quota target has its own row. You define the quota by entering the appropriate values into the columns. Any bold number can be changed; grey numbers are derived from the bold numbers, and cannot be directly edited.
In the min. target and max. target columns, enter the lowest and highest number of interviews you want for this quota (e.g. if you want between 100 and 200 interviews, you would enter 100 and 200 respectively). Note that you do not have to enter values in these columns:
min. target, it will be set as 0 or no minimum target.max. target, it will be set as ∞ or infinity. The question's max. target will also be set to ∞.For each quota row, you can enter the target as a percentage or absolute count.
You can select multiple value lines (within the same question) to change them all to the same new value.
copy and paste commands in the context (right-click) menu. You can quickly fill in the target values by using the allocate icons in the quota tab of the ribbon. If you click allocate all, the quota target value is evenly distributed across the selected lines (so if you select 10 lines, and the overall target value is 1000, then 100 will be allocated to each line). If you click allocate remaining, the remaining target value is evenly distributed across the selected lines (for example, if you have allocated 60% of the target value, and you selected four lines, the remaining 40% will be evenly distributed across the four lines, meaning 10% on each line).
add range and edit range commands in the quota tab of the ribbon. See add range for details.Note: if you change the quota target for the survey as a whole in the quotas window, then this will be reflected in the target sample size property for the survey task. Conversely, the target sample size property can be changed in the task properties, and that change will be reflected in the your quotas.
However, if you set a range for the overall quota target (by entering different values in the min. target and max. target columns), then you will no longer be able to edit the task's target sample size property; in this situation, the task's overall target sample size can only be changed in the quotas window.
