Defining quotas prior to version 5.4.0

Note: this topic describes how to define quotas in CCA/Supervisor prior to version 5.4.0. This function has been replaced by the new quotas window.

Use this feature to define a survey task's quotas. In the quotas window, you can insert and manage both external and internal quotas, as well as complex crossed quotas.

The left-hand pane displays the variables for which quotas have been defined. Its context (right-click) menu contains the following commands:

The following buttons are available:

Button Function

Insert a crossed (nested) quota.

Insert a simple quota or to finish crossing a crossed (nested) quota.

Delete the selected quota.

 

Furthermore, the Quotas window enables you to specify the following general options:

To insert a quota, first click one of the following buttons:

A dialog enables you to select the variable for which you wish to define a quota. Once the variable is selected, the right-hand side of the "Quotas" window enables you to specify the following details:

Note: variables can be available for quota definition only if they have been duly declared as such in AskiaDesign (please see the AskiaDesign Assistant for details).

Furthermore, we recommend that you use either the "Automatic" or "Semi-auto" quota behaviors, as using the "Manual" behavior obliges you to manually define complex conditions in the survey task's *.QES file using AskiaDesign.
