To set global alarm levels for CCA activity:
In the extra tab of the ribbon, select alarms.
Click the CCA tab.
Set the alarm properties, as described below.
The available properties are as follows:
Memory usage above N MB: Select this option to set an alarm on CCA memory usage above a threshold of N MB.
For example, if you set a threshold of 100MB, an alarm will be generated if the CCA uses 100 (or more) MB of memory.
This allows you to be aware, and take action if appropriate, if the CCA begins to consume too many system resources.
Note: you can view the current amount of memory used by the CCA by checking VM Size in Windows Task Manager, or Private Bytes in performance monitor.
Note: if this alarm is active, when a user attempts a memory-intensive task (start list, run report, or define quota) while a memory alarm is active, a warning is displayed. In addition, if a user attempts certain memory-intensive tasks (start list, run report), a warning is written to the CCA log file.
