The following properties and settings are available when creating and modifying reports:
Name: Enter a name for the report.
Description: Enter a description for the report.
Report file: Specify the report file (.rpt) that defines the report settings.
In this tab, you can add filters to the report, allowing you to refine the report according to the contents of specific database fields. For example, you might set a particular date range by using the StartTime field. You can set fields to Ask Value, which means anyone running the report will be prompted for this value (e.g. a date).
Add filter: Add a new filter to the report.
Add operator: Add a logical operator between filters. Operators determine how filters are combined together.
Edit: Edit the details of the filter or operator.
Delete: Remove the selected filter or operator.
Move Up: Move the filter upwards in the list, and hence cause it to be evaluated sooner (filters are evaluated in the order they appear in the list).
Move Down: Move the filter downwards in the list, and hence cause it to be evaluated later (filters are evaluated in the order they appear in the list).
Check Filter: If you use this function, AskiaField will test the syntax of your filter, and inform you whether it is correct. Note that AskiaField can check only the filter's syntax: it cannot know what the desired effect is and therefore cannot check your filter's logic.
Add: Add a formula.
Edit: Edit the selected formula.
Delete: Remove the selected formula.
