Use this function to manage the survey task's semi-open responses that have been entered during data collection. CCA enables you to control which semi-open responses appear in the list of suggested responses.
The semi open responses window gives you access to the following context (right-click) menu:
Validate: Validate (accept) the selected semi-open response, thereby ensuring that it will part of the list of suggested responses available to agents.
Invalidate: Invalidate (reject) the selected semi-open response, thereby ensuring that it will be deleted from the list of suggested responses available to agents. Furthermore, invalidating a response ensures that agents will no longer be able to enter this response manually. Note: invalidating a semi-open response only affects the way agents will be entering data from that point onwards. Interviews which already contained the invalidated response in their data will still be coded accordingly. The invalidated response's data remains available in data analysis.
Rename: Rename the s elected semi-open response, and thereby ensure that it will be displayed with its correct syntax in the list of suggested responses available to agents.
Code-into: Merge the selected semi-open response with another one. For example: "Dog" and "Pets".
Sort by name: Display the semi-open responses in name order.
Sort by date: Display the semi-open responses in order of the date they were entered.
Sort by agent: display the semi-open responses in order of their author (i.e. the agent who first entered the response).
